The University of Stirling’s Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport offers a wide range of short courses, modules and programmes for the continuing professional development of qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. This also includes CPD modules from the BSc Professional Practice and MSc Advancing Practice.
The Partnership will help build on the many opportunities available locally and work collaboratively to develop new a range of new courses and programmes designed to meet the needs of our current and future workforce.
Initial priorities include:
- Developing new academic roles for clinical staff in partnership with the University of Stirling (e.g., Honorary Clinical Professor, Clinical Professor, Clinical Senior Lecturer)
- Defined clinical research pathways for agreed priority areas
- Explore the development of a new Quality and People Academy across the region
- Develop plans to attract and retaining workforce in the region
- Develop links with the Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence
The University of Stirling has won numerous Student Nursing Times Awards with our MSc Early Years Practice Health Visiting recently winning Education Provider of the Year category in 2021.
